Thomas Boles of Moyge, co. Cork married Catherine Upton, daughter of John Upton of Ashgrove House near Newcastle, co. Limerick.

They must have remained in regular contact with this region as their daughter Elizabeth married  James D'Arcy of Knockaderry House which later passed into the Evans family.  Their daughter Margaret married John Reeves of Belfort near Charleville, co. Cork and their granddaughter, Thomasina Eliza Reeves, married Thomas D'Arcy Evans of Knockaderry House thus returning the property to their line.

Knockaderry House in Limerick near Knockaderry in Clonelty parish and near Newcastle was the ancient seat of the D'Arcy family .
